Engineering Inspiration (EI) Award / FIRST Impact Award Practice Test 2026 – Your All-in-One Guide to Success!

Sustained, measurable outreach efforts are essential for EI outreach because building lasting interest in engineering comes from ongoing engagement and the ability to show real impact over time. Long-running, replicable programs like workshops, mentoring, and STEM nights create repeated touchpoints with students and communities, allowing relationships to grow, skills to develop, and curiosity to deepen. Because these programs are replicable, they can be implemented in different places by different teams, leading to wider and more consistent impact rather than a one-off experience. The measurable outcomes part matters because it provides evidence of impact, helps organizers improve, and makes the value of the outreach visible to judges and stakeholders.

One-off demonstrations, while entertaining, don’t offer sustained connection or data to prove lasting influence. Screen-sharing webinars with no activities lack hands-on engagement and outcomes to track. Short-term competitions can be exciting but often don’t deliver ongoing engagement or broad, measurable impact.
